I will tell you it can be hard to adopt with in the family. It can put a hole in your family that is hard to feel but with alot of hard work it can work. I adopted my grand daughter and we have had to work hard to make sure my daughter her mom is still my daughter also.You will have to make it very clear to her that you will be the only mom she will have and your husband the only dad. That is usally the first issue that will come up. Set her down and make all this very clear to her right up front.Also plan to tell the child the truth when you and your husband feel that the child is ready but do not wait to they are to old or it can be a problem.Also check with an Atty as soon as possible to make sure about all legal matters that can come up in your state. All states are different. Then if you decide to do it all I can say is love the child as much as you can.
