My youngest dd was 5 when she had it done and it was by far the best thing that could happen to her. She's had no more ear infections and her strep problems are almost completely gone (now almost 10). She had a sore throat for about a week. The worst was day 2 and 3 I think. She was sitting up in bed talking to the nurse when we got in to see her the first time. She sounded weird for about 3 weeks (they have to learn to speak without the swollen tissue that they've been used to). We're hoping to get a referral soon to get Hunter's adenoids and tonsils out soon.

Best of luck but you'll be SO glad you did it once he recovers!!
