we actually had 4 bio children when we decided to adopt an aa child. it has been the best thing we have done! we are actually trying now to get her brother and sister! people ask us if we get looked at strangely having 4 white and 3 black and the answer is yes but i think it more because we have 7 not the color!! we choose to stay in contact with the grandparents and aunts which is nice for any questions we have. it has just made our family that much bigger. i know you wont have that choice but there are plenty of places to learn about her culture. anyway now that i have rattled on i think that if your 1st instinct is that this child will be right for you that you should go with it the child is going to love you no matter what race you are!
