I am really trying to figure out how to best explain this to my son too. My new husband just adopted my 3 1/2 year old son. My ex-husband left when my son was 5 months old and never came back or visited, so my son has no memory or knowledge of him. I met my husband when my son was 14 motnhs old, and he has only known him as "daddy." The adoption became official last month and i am trying to figure out how best and when to tell my son that he has a bio dad.
Any advice?
