Everything that I sent with the application was a copy. If they need the original documents they can obtain them from the packet you turned in upon arrival in the US...............the mysterious brown envelope that you weren't allowed to open.
For US citizenship I used a copy of their US passport.

STILL processing them. Actually, I received a letter in December that they transferred the app's to California (no idea why), so now I have no idea when I might expect to get their C of C's.............though I'm hoping before they go off to college!
