We spent alot of money on lawyers to get the kids back that had been placed with us for 3 1/2 years. We filed adoption petitions on the 5 and never did hear what happened to them. Evidently they do not have to respond. I had been told that if you had petitions out for the kids it would prevent anyone else from getting them. not true in my case. They kept those kids in care another 4 years. I hope you can get closure before then.
