I agree with Claud.
Unless you are approached with questions about adoption, let the family deal with it in their own way. If you begin to hear that she is considering placement, you could offer your story but "encouraging her to give the baby up for adoption" is not only way out of line but rather coercive. She should be informed that she can still go to college, on scholarship. She should be encouraged to research all parenting resources.
Adoption is not ALWAYS the answer for an unplanned pregnancy. And if her Mom is supportive in her keeping the baby (God, how many of us wished for that!!!) then adoption really isn't something that should be "encouraged."
