Contact your agency. Usually they want wiggle room of like a month with the fingerprints. Also can you contact your local BCIS office to get the ball rolling. They'll need time to get your appt (if one must be scheduled) and to get you the required paperwork once you have the prints done.
We had to be refingerprinted last time (just the timing from our prints from adoption #1 to adoption #2)... We had to bring with us the "new" I171 which was issued after we were refingerprinted; not just the form we got from the fingerprint office which stated we had been reprinted. It'll take some time for you to get the new I171 so you want to talk with the local office to get the ball rolling (maybe it's different with your local office but that was what we had to do per our agency too!).
