Need some encouragement...

Dylan's had a cold the past couple of days and she woke up with a bloody nose yesterday. Mind you, we walked into her room and her face was covered in blood (scared us to death). I took her to the doctor and they said they were common as long as they did not happen often. So I stayed home with her yesterday and today.

She has been her happy go lucky, always smiling, always dancing happy baby girl.

At dinner tonite, she just started screaming and wouldn't eat. She does this sometimes and we figured she was tired. She fell asleep when Daddy was changing her diaper, which is NOT like her. She is one of those children that tries to get up and run during diaper changes.

We felt of her forehead and she was burning up. Her fever was 105.4. I have been through this with her so many times. I immediately got the motrin and got washcloths to cool her down. Her fever got up to 105.6 before it started going down. Now while this is going on, she wakes up and starts singing her very cute version of twinkle twinkle little star.

I know we just had a thread on quick to run a fever, but I am so upset. Every time I take her to the ER, they tell me it is a virus. This is about the 3rd time it has gotten this high. She is now at 102 and sleeping by my side. I know I will spend the night watching her like a hawk. My gut says it is just the same as before, but that never turns off the Mommy meter watching for signs of anything else wrong.

Has anyone else had a child like this? She is such a happy baby girl and it breaks my heart to see her like this. Her little cheeks are as rosy as can be from the fever, but she is sleeping so peacefully. Her fever is dropping, DH and I are checking it every 10 minutes.

Just needed my forum friends...
