Hi,
I know that the Tampa office now likes everything filed together, application and homestudy. I don't know if you can use a field office not assigned to your area. I would wait for the homestudy and I think you will find that your wait will be shorter. I think the Orlando office is running about 2 weeks, Tampa about 7-8 weeks.
