The only problem is we have a boys name picked (Kaden Micah), and still can't decide on a girls ... so I came here for more help ... it is funny, because we got a huge sign with the boys name. We had Kaden on our list and it was really our first choice and then when we began to question it my husband met a darling little 2 yr old African American boy at his store. He said the little boy grabbed on to his leg and wouldn't let go, then his mother started calling him "Kaden". He was so excited to call me and share the story, and that is how we decided on that. OK sorry to go on and on, back to the girls names! We still haven't ruled out all of the first names on our list up there, but many mixed feelings about them led us to look for more...
1) Malia - Hawaiian for calm and peaceful and I saw a darling Haitian girl with that name but I'm not sure if it is pronounced the way I am saying it, Ma (like Madonna) and lia just like Leah...??? Husband and grandparents like Malia too, which is a plus
2) Maile - vine that grows in Hawaii. Pronounced like Maylee???
3) Ashlyn
Any advice and help is appreciated! This is so hard for some reason, maybe when we see her face or her birthname we will know! Thanks everyone, Taryn

Hi there, I know that you posted a while ago, but saw your post while browsing and thought I would respond. Your names are very close to the names that I like, but here is some thoughts:
You like Kayden for a boy, how about for a girl? Or maybe Kadence or Kaydence for a girl (very popular where I am from)
I LOVE the name Maile, and in fact we have picked the name Malley for a girl when we adopt and if we have a chance to change her name. I have two girls all ready, Maddison Paige and Mackinley Lois, so Malley would fit just perfect, and we also have a boy Turner Ross.
Another "M" name that I LOVE is a girl that is in my daughter's kindergarden class. Her name is Mairi (pronounced Mar-ah) She is adorable!
Anyway, best of luck with names and adoptions.
