Sorry to hear that you have had these problems, but it looks like things are a little better. Hopefully, your family will grow to appreciate adoption through your process. I also bought my family and my husband's family the Adoption is a Family Affair book. Our families were not anti-adoption, but definitely were not as supportive and happy as I expected them to be when we made our announcement that we planned to adopt. Now I feel that they are really educated and in fact our daughter was just born 12-1-05 and both sets of grandparents are ecstatic and can't stop holding her.
