Great advice from a lot of people. I've learned a lot from Nancy Thomas when it comes to helping my kids attach. I've seen a HUGE difference in T (my 8 yr old that acts about 3 or 4) as well as J (the eldest at 11, but he also acts about 4 at times) in the past 3 weeks of me using some of NT's techniques.

I just wanted to add that the best reading I've done (so far) on Nancy Thomas came from some on-line training I did for my foster CE's. I'm sure her books have the same materials (this was from a conference she gave), but I don't have the books yet and I got 8 hours of credit to do it! (didn't take me that long to read it).

Hang in there! We've had our 3 for over a year and we still have our days where dh and I pull our hair out. In the end, these kids are so worth it! They just don't know how to do some very basic things (you'd think they would, but nope!...no one taught them, or the caretaker didn't know how either!).
