Affiliation proceedings?

Funny question at Christmas time I know, but who knows someone may have the answer.
I wonder if anyone here has any experience of getting access to records of court affiliation proceedings against putative fathers (in England & Wales) from the 1950s/60s era and how you'd go about it?
