It's so hard when family members don't seem to understand our journey. You did the right thing, stepping back and seeing what their perspective might be. I know with those who hesitated (everyone is VERY supportive now..) alot of their fears came from seeing us hurting and in yet another unknown territory. They so wanted our lives to be normal (not that they are now, lol!) so they could stop worrying. I completely understand it now as a loving thing, one that they had difficulty expressing without coming off as unsupportive.
I'm glad your Mom and Family have opened at least a little bit to the process... praying all comes through and well for you...
