Alex has and still does these things. The terrible two's ! Wish I could sugar coat it for you, but I can't. Alex has serious fits if he doesn't get his own way, he yells when it is time to leave my parents, sisters etc.
When I had my surgery even though Alex was happy to have me home, he wanted Daddy. Daddy was home with him for the two days I was in the hospital. Since I have been home with Alex for weeks, he now yells at my dh that he wants mommy to do things for him.
It's a phase, this too shall pass. With my Alex I am hoping it passes by the time he goes to high school....LOL
