I couldn't pick just one. Below are the choices that influenced the final name my son received at adoption:

2) The name is one that I've liked for a long time.
4) The name that "fits" my child perfectly.
1) The name reflects his/her cultural background.
5) you wanted to incorporate a family name

2. I've loved the name Henry since my sister-in-law had her middle child (10 years old now) and wanted her to use it...since she didn't, I felt it was fair game
4. I had narrowed it down to two choices and decided I would pick the one that seemed to match the child better.
1. I kept his Russian given name as his first middle name.
5. I added my dad's name as a second middle name.

Resulting in: Henry Roman David

Or, if he had been darker complected (#4), he would have been: Fraser Everett Roman (Everett being my Dad's middle name)
