Hi Shay....
Being that I adopted an older child, I did NOT want any additional stress on her, AND I love her name "Anya". So, #1 is appropriate for me.
I also wanted her to have a 'new' family legacy, so I gave her my Dear Sweet Grandmother's name as her middle name on her BC. So, that would be #5
An acquantance of mine adopted her daughter when she was 6.5 years old.... She actually changed her name, which I never quite understood. It's like she wanted to "erase" her past. Oh, I might add that this little girls given name was a BEAUTIFUL name!
