Hello!!

Wow, i have been looking for others that are young too! My dh and i are also both 22, been married for 3.5 years (did you get married in June 2002 too?). We will both be 23 in March and May, and have come across a lot of slack for being young. BUT, there are lots of agencies that do accept younger people AND you can even do international adoption in certain countries and agencies (Guatemala, Russia, and Vietnam do not have age reqt, but some agencies have thier own) The US just says that one person has to be over 21 to adopt internationally. We didn't know this, everyone told us you had to be 25, until i looked it up and talked to more people about it. We have found some agencies also for Domestic Adoption (PM me and I will let you know some of them, we are in TX). It is very frustrating to get turned down though because of age, I know, i have been there. DH and I have stable careers, own our home, and are financially stable (although cannot afford $30,000 for international adoption). We have been trying since we got married, and being married so young, had no idea we would have trouble!! Let me know if you have any questions for me!!

Natalie
