I have many questions and need some others input to gain the information I need. I have already found my bparents through an intermediary and I have a daughter that I am trying to locate, can a bparent petition the courts to get final birth certificate and if so how do I go about it? The adoption took place in Washington State and I now reside in Kansas. Can this be done by mail or does it have to be in person? The agency that handled the adoption has black-listed me for reason beyond my control and I wish to have information to begin my search, also I don't wish to just sit around and wait for her to find me. I have made available any and all my personal information to the agency and to many registers in that state. I hope greatly to find her!!
When searching for my bparents, my adopted family knew someone who knew someone else, who knew the judge to gain the signature for the intermediary. If not for that it would have taken many more petitions to gain access to the names. Now on the other side I do not have the backing of the adopted parent to gain the signatures I need so I am starting from scratch and have no idea how to go about it, not much money to spend on private investigators or intermediaries and such.
