The most recent unwelcome intrusive comment came from a member of my family -- sadly, my sister.
"Are you going to get your tubes tied?"
"No," I replied. "Are you?" I was trying to invite conversation. She has two children.
Am I supposed to act like "yeah, I should, shouldn't I?" or pretend I have some shame??

I think this is where there is SUCH a double standard. If I were married with 16 children, I would be on the six o'clock news. But if a single parent had 16 children...
