I spoke with my birth mother last night for hours and hours...We are so alike in so many ways - this apple apparently did not fall far the tree at all! It was a wonderful reunion that took place because i asked for advise on this forum! THANK YOU JESS whoever you are for telling me to call the library and ask them to look in the Polk directory( I had no idea what that even was!) Theyb onlyb had one Skaggs in all of Buffalo at that time and they provided me with a first name. From there I went to google and found three matches to the name sent 'em an email and sure enough - against all odds- one of them was my mother! I am thrilled and looking forward to meeting her in person and shareing my lifer and my childrens ives with her! You know - she nevr was blessed with any other children and while I am selfishly happy about that I am sad that she missed out on the joys of daily mother hood...She said that she had just been talking about "her daughter" that day that I wrote and had never forgotten me - ever. That is all I ever wanted to hear....
