Do not pay for a search, especially right away. Many do not ever need to go that route. There are many volunteer angels who can help for free. Over the years I have had many see my search info posted on various web sites and have contacted me with information that eventually lead me to my brother. Now I do the same in their honor. My sister found me simply because of info I had posted all over the net. (She did not even know I existed as she was searching for our brother and her bmom.)

More on my brother.... I would never have found our brother if it were not for making a relationship with a few search angels. I gave them ALLl my non-identifying info (and some of the identifying that I knew at the time) about my brothers adoption and the two of them came back with my brothers address in just days. (I did not post all of my brothers info online but I did share it with the two angels that were referred to me.) Too many times people give only a little bit of info here and there and volunteers run around in circles when a simple clue can lead to a breakthrough of info for you.

Use your common sense and again do not post it all on the web but instead make the relationship then email them privately and get referrals on people and then share the info you have so they can help you.

Please be wary if anyone asks for your address or number or for money. I never give my out info that can be dangerous to me or my family. Again, there are many people who are legit and just here to help others as they have been helped.

Blessings in your search! Tina
