My heart breaks for your past experience. Your past is why my husband and I are finishing up our homestudy -- we want to adopt a 10 to 17 year old boy, someone who wants permanence in his life, a place to always call home, and a way to have a successful future.
I hope somehow you find your former foster family. You may want to start with switchboard.com and see if they might be listed there.
Your note tells me that my husband and I are doing the right thing, despite everyone telling us that an older child doesn't want to be adopted.
