Contested Adoption Nightmare
Imagine getting married over 10 years ago. Going thru 3 corrective surgeries to deal with endometriosis. 2 Artificial inseminations, 2 IVF Procedures all with negative results and then finally we go for adoption and within the first try a failed placement (B/Mom decided to be mom). The second time a placement with a lovely baby girl. Then 9months later and after attempting to adopt. A contested adoption by a biological Father who failed to anything he was required to do to ascert his rights and then coming across a court situation in which the judiciary or at least this particular one decides he will not follow the present law of the state. Makes statements about the law and her disagreement with it and is now on a crusade to change the law at our expense. And the expense of this child who has for the last year grown to love us and we love her. Court order visits with a proctor who does not agree with the situation and the attorney assigned to represent the baby who does not agree with the situation.
What does one do ?
