Another single Georgia mom here! I adopted my MaryGrace through a private, domestic adoption. She was 13 days old and I was 39. She's almost 7 and I just turned 46. It's been a WONDERFUL journey!! We even have a "theme song". I used to sing it to her when she was a baby, and now she'll burst into song and we both end up singing and dancing to the song! Sort of crazy, I know, but it's all in fun! It's from the movie "American Tail" and goes:
We're a duo, a duo!
A pair of lonely ones
who were meant to be a two!
A duo! It's true-o!
Cause you've got me and
I've got you!!
There's nothing like parenting! Go for it!
