Adoptive Status
Dear Collective,
Well, our daughter has passed from foster status to adoptive status. Social Services files our petition on Monday or Tuesday and then its just a six month or so waiting period. So...we're in that waiting for the state courts limbo.
So far, things are pretty darn good. She's settling in pretty well. Apart from tantrums--seems pretty typically 5 year old--and a hard time getting her in bed, things are working out well.
