  • One thing that really stood out to me about your post was when you wrote, "I have never sought you out, but have been content to respect your decision. My info is posted in a few places, in case you should have ever come to need to know." Back then, some of our b-moms were told that they could never contact us. They were told that they didn't have the right to invade our lives. For...

  • I can understand why he would want you to adopt him in that situation. So, yes, the bio dad will need to relinquish his rights. If he doesn't, I'm not sure what options you'll have. Definitely a call to a good adoption attorney is in order. . . . . Good luck.

  • Hi Mommies Thank you very much for the support. I am very happy reading your messages as I am empowered and feel proud of being a new mom. Yes, I am quite very cautious in my actions because I don't want to harm my baby. I am an only child and never had a chance to take care of babies that's why I am very careful in handling my baby. I hope you could also give some tips about a good...

  • Having adopted 2 boys, I know how expensive adoption can be. Build A Menu has a fundraiser that is helping those in the process of adopting to raise money. They also give a portion of all their proceeds to adoption care but this is a great way for families to help with the cost. Here's the post from their FB page last night. Wanted to share the info. We're looking for families in the...

  • Found birthfather! His wife having a hard time
  • by murphymalone Last comment: Today at 02:32 AM
  • I would give her a bit of time as suggested. It's difficult to be in a situation where your presence in the world contributes to someone's insecurity but that's what it boils down to. You had no control over his past or the other girl's behaviour. Her reaction is hers to own. If her trust is shaken they need to work through that. Essentially it's your father's past but if his past causes...

  • Hello all! I am no stranger to the forums, but typically stay in the foster parent support area. I thought I would introduce myself over here, because dh and I are literally days away from our official license as therapeutic foster parents! DH and I have known each other 8 years, been together for almost 4, and married for almost a year! (A year next month!! ) DH was a ward of the state,...

  • by BS1979 Last comment: 13 minutes ago
  • I will be the lone voice of opposition to the previous posts- but keep in mind I don't have experience with multiples and older kiddos. I just know this. If *my* first baby Squeaks were to come back into care- even as a teenager- I would want to be the one who took the placement. I don't think they ever leave your heart, and since you were open to adopting them, I am sure you still feel like you...
